Comfort announces Carbon Reduction Plan in collaboration with Net Zero Nation

Comfort Seating announces its latest initiative in sustainable practices with the release of our updated Carbon Reduction Plan, developed in partnership with Net Zero Nation. This plan signifies our ongoing commitment to the environment and builds upon our existing efforts in sustainability.

At the core of our strategy is a 12-month Net Zero business transformation programme, delivered by social enterprise Net Zero Nation and supported by East Ayrshire Council and Scottish Enterprise. By participating in the Net Zero Accelerators alongside fellow forward-thinking companies, we aim to foster collaboration and innovation in our journey towards carbon neutrality.

Our overarching goal is clear: to combat climate change by significantly reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. To achieve this, Comfort has made concrete commitments, including aligning with the science-based targets outlined by the UNFCCC. By no later than 2050, we will achieve net zero emissions, with a targeted 50% reduction by 2030. Moreover, we pledge to report our total emissions regularly to ensure transparency and accountability.

Comfort's dedication to sustainable practices sets us apart as industry leaders. Since 2007, we have been the exclusive distributor of the Ergohuman line of ergonomic office chairs in the UK and have been committed to responsible manufacturing and product end-of-life recycling.
